Privacy Policy
How Bright Kids handles parent, student, booking, and website information.
Effective / last updated: 22 August 2026
1. Information we may collect
When a parent or guardian uses our website or class finder, we may collect information such as the parent's name and phone number, the child's grade, school board, requested subject, learning goal, preferred timing, country or currency selection, and the contents of messages sent to us.
Our website, hosting provider, analytics tools, advertising platforms, or communications services may also process ordinary technical information such as IP address, browser/device information, referral source, cookie identifiers, and page interactions where those tools are enabled.
2. How we use information
- Respond to class enquiries and recommend an appropriate class or tutor.
- Schedule, provide, personalise, and support educational services.
- Communicate about the specific enquiry, booking, payment, schedule, or service requested.
- Maintain records, prevent misuse or fraud, improve our website and services, and meet legal obligations.
3. Children and parental involvement
Bright Kids provides educational services to children, but our booking flow is intended for parents or guardians. We ask parents/guardians not to submit sensitive personal information about a child unless it is reasonably necessary for the requested educational service. If you believe a child has directly provided personal information without appropriate parental involvement, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.
4. WhatsApp, advertising and third-party services
If you choose WhatsApp, your message and account information will be processed by WhatsApp/Meta under their own terms and privacy practices. We may also use third-party hosting, analytics, advertising, scheduling, communications, or payment providers as needed to operate the service. Those providers may process information on our behalf or under their own policies.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We may use essential cookies or local storage required for site functionality. If analytics or advertising technologies are enabled, they may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure performance, understand visits, or attribute advertising. Browser controls can be used to limit cookies, although some functions may work differently.
6. Sharing of information
We do not disclose personal information merely for unrelated purposes. Information may be shared with tutors or service providers who need it to fulfil the requested class, with technology providers that support our operations, when required by law, or in connection with a legitimate business reorganisation subject to applicable safeguards.
7. Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, educational relationship, support, record-keeping, dispute resolution, security, and legal or accounting requirements. Retention periods may differ depending on the type of information and the nature of the relationship.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or withdrawal of consent. You can also ask us to stop non-essential communications. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.
9. Security and international processing
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures intended to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Because online providers may operate internationally, information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live, subject to applicable legal requirements.
10. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, tools, or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
